    Merry Christmas to me!

    I love ANR. Every time I get a piece I declare it to be my new favorite. So guess what? Portia is my new favorite! The jacquard texture is unique from the other ANR sweaters in my wardrobe. It is a bit more structured feeling, with a tighter weave, but also with a relaxed fit. It is, however, just as soft and comfortable and cozy as all of its predecessors. The graphic is so pretty and the colors are sheer perfection. I must admit, I feel like such a poser in this because I have never even had downhill skis on, and the one time I tried cross country skiing in Sequoia NP, I spent a lot of time on my arse. Nevertheless, this sweater makes me feel as if I have just effortlessly conquered the slopes and am ready for a hot toddy by the fire while I enjoy the ache of muscles well tested. It is simply gorgeous and I am so glad I treated myself to its beauty! As for sizing, I usually get XS but they were sold out so I got a small and love the fit. Because of the structure to the knit, it may actually be better for me than an XS would have been. Sleeve and body length are just fine.
